Botanical Blend for Postpartum Vitality (200ml & 500ml)

Why it's loved

The Revitalise Botanical Tonic is a Naturopath formulated postpartum blend to help restore vitality to both body and mind during the first 12 months after birth.

Revitalise is an alcohol-free formula that is breastfeeding safe and suitable for long-term use.

What is it?

Revitalise is a Naturopath formulated, nourishing blend of Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanicals to support the postpartum mama.

These specific botanicals have been selected as they help to replenish Qi (vital energy), lift mood, and calm the nervous system. They also nourish digestion, milk supply, the immune system, and help build resilience to stress.

It's designed for use at any stage during the first 12 months postpartum.

If you're also considering using the Baby Moon during postpartum, see 'How to Use' (below) for more information.

What's in it & why?

Revitalise is an alcohol-free formula containing liquid extracts of:

Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi), Codonopsis pilosula (Dang shen), Withania sominfera (Ashwaghanda), Asparagus racemosus (Shatavari)

Why?

REISHI: Used for over 2000 years as a medicine, this mushroom is considered a Qi tonic in TCM. It's classed as one of the great original adaptogen medicines. Traditionally, it was used by Taoist monks in China to promote centred calmness, improve meditative practices, and attain a long, healthy life. Reishi strongly supports the immune system and is indicated for convalescence, chronic fatigue and/or infections, nervousness, insomnia, and for enhancing longevity. It's a relaxing adaptogen for anxiety or overstimulation.

DANG SHEN: A recuperative TCM herb used to replenish Qi (vital energy), support appetite, digestion, debility, fatigue, and convalescence. It increases vitality through nourishing the blood, and is particularly indicated in 'blood-deficient states', having been shown to increase red blood cell count and haemoglobin. It also helps maintain healthy immunity.

ASHWAGANDHA/WITHANIA: An Ayurvedic adaptogenic herb that's rejuvenating, balancing, and strengthening. Helpful for debility, exhaustion, anxiety and stress - hello postpartum. It's supportive to the frazzled nervous system without being stimulating.

SHATAVARI: Considered the "Queen of Herbs" in Ayurvedic Medicine. It's the primary revitalising herb for women; nourishing, calming, and helps bring balance to overall hormonal function. Shatavari supports breastmilk supply (as a galactagogue), aids fluid retention, and fatigue. It's supportive in times of stress, fatigue, immune debility, general weakness and inflammation. It also has neuroprotective and antioxidant properties.

How to use

Revitalise is designed for the postpartum mama to use anytime within the first 12 months after birth.

It has been formulated to be suitable and safe for long term use, and whilst breastfeeding.

If you're planning ahead for your postpartum care and also looking to use the Baby Moon formula also, I would suggest using Baby Moon for the first 2 - 6 weeks postpartum, then move on to Revitalise. This is because Baby Moon is specifically formulated for the needs of the initial postpartum period (e.g. contains uterine tonic herbs).

Or, if you're already postpartum, you may begin Revitalise at any stage.

Take 5ml, diluted in a little water or juice 3 x day.

When taken as directed, the 500ml bottle will last for approximately 5 weeks.

200ml size coming soon.

What is Dang shen?

Also known as Codonopsis pilosula, it's a TCM herb used to replenish Qi (vital energy), support the appetite and digestion, and aid debility, fatigue and convalescence. It's known as a 'blood tonic' so it's particularly indicated in 'blood deficient states' (eg. anaemia, low iron) as it's been shown to increase red blood cell count and haemoglobin.

"I've hand-selected these specific botanicals for postpartum mothers because they help to replenish Qi (vital energy), lift mood and calm the nervous system. These are 3 areas I often see mothers needing extra support with.

They also help nourish digestion, breastmilk supply, the immune system, and help build resilience to stress.

Revitalise is an alcohol-free and breastfeeding safe tonic, and is designed to be used by mothers at any stage during the first 12 or so months postpartum."
